As anticipation continues building around Jamaican recording artist Vershon’s upcoming EP TO A QUEEN, one of the project’s most talked-about elements is the woman helping shape the vision behind the scenes producer, entrepreneur, author, and creative director Jenelle Alexia.
Known for her work across fashion, literacy, film, and branding through her A’Legends platform, Jenelle Alexia now steps further into music production and creative development as a driving force behind the emotionally layered reggae/dancehall project.
Rather than creating a traditional dancehall EP focused solely on party records, TO A QUEEN explores themes of women, growth, vulnerability, pressure, healing, reflection, relationships, and emotional survival through storytelling-driven music.
“This project was never just about making songs,” says Jenelle Alexia. “We wanted to create music people could actually FEEL. Every track tells a different story and touches a different emotion.”
The EP follows the growing success of Vershon’s internationally recognized single “Queen,” which charted on both the Global iTunes Reggae Chart and the Canada iTunes Reggae Chart, while also recently securing placement in the upcoming American film SWITCH, directed by filmmaker Black Deniro.
Set for release on June 10, 2026, TO A QUEEN delivers a deeper and more emotionally mature side of Vershon, balancing records that celebrate women with songs addressing personal struggles, inner battles, growth, and reflection.

The project’s official tracklist includes:
Queen
Younger
Self A Mother Like You
Crying Out For Help
Toy Story
Clock It
Behind the scenes, Jenelle Alexia played a major role in helping shape the project’s creative direction, branding, rollout strategy, and emotional storytelling an increasingly rare position for women within reggae and dancehall production spaces.
“As a woman, producer, and creative, I understood the importance of making this project feel authentic,” Jenelle explains. “This EP speaks to women, but it also gives men space to express emotions people don’t always hear them talk about publicly.”
The release of TO A QUEEN also marks another major expansion for the A’Legends brand, which has continued growing internationally through fashion, literacy initiatives, film involvement, philanthropy, and music production. With anticipation continuing to build online, supporters can expect additional visuals, media appearances, live performances, and promotional content leading into the EP’s official release.
TO A QUEEN releases worldwide on all digital streaming platforms June 10, 2026.
