BUILDING TURNKEY WITH PURPOSE, VISION AND EXCELLENCE

For Latoya McKay, CEO of Turnkey Event Logistics, the journey has been about building a company while continuing to grow as a woman, entrepreneur and leader.
Turnkey Event Logistics has developed into a full-service events and entertainment execution agency, handling planning, logistics and brand experiences across Jamaica and the Caribbean. With the company continuing to expand, McKay is now setting her sights on establishing an international footprint.
But behind that vision is years of hands-on experience across some of Jamaica’s major entertainment, sporting and cultural productions.
EXPERIENCE BEHIND THE VISION
McKay’s professional experience extends across multiple areas of event production and execution. Her portfolio includes working on IMC as a producer and serving as Junior Project Manager for the Jamaica Coffee Festival, giving her experience in both production leadership and large-scale project coordination.
Her work in entertainment has also placed her behind several high-profile productions, including Sashi, the Chris Brown Show, Sting, the Gregory Isaacs Show and Rebel Salute, where she worked as an Assistant Stage Manager.
McKay has also been involved in the operational side of major events through logistics and transportation, ticketing and sponsorship, areas that require detailed planning, communication and strong execution from the early stages of an event through to completion.
Her experience extends into sports as well, including involvement with Grand Slam Track, further demonstrating her ability to operate across different sectors of the events industry.
These experiences have helped shape the foundation of Turnkey Event Logistics, giving McKay an understanding of what it takes to move an event from concept to execution while managing the many moving parts behind the scenes.

FINDING HER OWN LIGHT
One of the biggest lessons McKay has learned throughout her entrepreneurial journey is the importance of staying focused on her own path rather than becoming distracted by competition.
Speaking with Jamweekly Magazine, McKay shared a powerful perspective on competition, especially among women in business.
“I don’t believe I have to compete with another woman’s light. There is room for all of us to shine, and my responsibility is to make sure my own light is stewarded well.”
Her philosophy reflects the type of leader she is becoming one who believes that success does not require dimming someone else’s light. Instead, she remains focused on developing her own strengths, building her brand and creating a company that reflects her values.
MORE THAN JUST GROWTH
As Turnkey continues to establish itself within Jamaica’s events and entertainment landscape, McKay’s ambitions extend beyond simply making the company bigger.
For her, true growth is measured by improvement, consistency and the quality of the work being delivered.
“Growth for me isn’t simply about becoming bigger. It’s about becoming better,” McKay told Jamweekly Magazine.
That belief remains at the centre of her vision for Turnkey. As the company looks toward international opportunities, she wants its name to represent more than successful events. She wants Turnkey to become synonymous with integrity, professionalism, creativity, reliability and excellence.
Her diverse experience from production and stage management to project coordination, sponsorship, ticketing, transportation and logistics provides a strong foundation for that vision.
THE ROAD AHEAD
From major entertainment productions and sporting events to event logistics and philanthropic initiatives, McKay continues to build a career that reflects purpose and leadership.
Her journey demonstrates that entrepreneurship is not only about creating a business it is also about discovering who you are as a leader and having the courage to evolve.
With Turnkey Event Logistics growing across Jamaica and the Caribbean, the next chapter promises to take McKay and her company even further.
Her message is clear: there is room for everyone to shine, but the responsibility lies with each individual to nurture their own light.
For Latoya McKay, that light is being used to build Turnkey Event Logistics into a brand defined by purpose, excellence and a vision that reaches far beyond the Caribbean.
