Jaun Orlando Bennett, known by his stage name John Bling, is a natural-born shining star who has etched his name in the annals of dancehall history, representing Jamaica across the globe with his multifaceted artistry.
John’s journey into entertainment began early, dancing his way into the hearts of dancehall enthusiasts worldwide. His passion knows no bounds — from music composition and choreography to acting, dancing, and deejaying, he brings unmatched energy to every arena. Spanish Town shaped not just his identity but his mission: to carry the vibrance of Jamaican culture to the world.
One of John’s most impactful contributions is the “WE ARE THE DANCE” Movement, created with fellow dancers to advocate for the respect and recognition of Jamaican dancers. This initiative restored the spotlight on dance in dancehall spaces and solidified John’s role as both cultural ambassador and advocate for artistic expression.
As a founding member of the world-renowned Black Blingaz Dance Crew, John’s creative genius helped define an era. His choreography contributed to global dancehall staples, most notably Mr. Vegas’ “Tek Weh Yuh Self”, which remains one of the culture’s most iconic dance anthems.
John expanded his artistry into acting, appearing in acclaimed films such as A Dance for Grace, Jamaican Mafia, Will Power, Informa, King of the Dancehall, and the recent “Born to Traumatize.” His work alongside global stars including Nick Cannon, Whoopi Goldberg, Busta Rhymes, and Amber Rose underscores his versatility and respect across industries.
Affectionately called “Mr. Mirror”, John is known not just for his artistry, but also his wisdom, philosophy, and sharp fashion sense. His image has graced multiple entertainment magazine covers, a reflection of his wide influence on popular culture.
Despite international acclaim, John remains rooted in giving back. Through Dancehall Workshops worldwide, he shares his techniques, stories, and experiences with young creatives — inspiring the next wave of dancers and artists to embrace their craft with pride.
John continues to innovate beyond music and dance. His merchandise line for “Tek Weh Yuh Self” celebrates his most famous creation, bridging culture with fashion.
He is also the creative mind behind the" 876 Roommates" reality series, featuring some of Jamaica’s most popular comedians and influencers such as Worl Dawg, Swiss Lee, Deno Crazy, Valdo, More Abel, and Boss. The series merges entertainment with reality, showcasing authentic Jamaican humor and lifestyle to a global audience.
Most recently, John co-founded CHAMPAGNE HOOKAHZ with Marlon Bling, a fellow member of their group Black Blingaz.
This groundbreaking luxury hookah service brand, with its bold tagline 'Smoking with a Difference,' transforms nightlife culture by merging elegance with innovation. John pioneered the technique of recycling champagne bottles into custom hookahs the first of its kind in the world a bold concept that sets his brand apart while embracing sustainability and
creativity.
