Kandie D’Jambajan Makes Strong Return to Music with Freestyle Release “Go Down”

Recording artiste Kandie D’Jambajan, whose legal name is Nickay Samuels, is making a confident return to the music scene with her latest freestyle track, Go Down, produced by Peter Coppin of Monstapiece Production.

Released on May 14, 2026, the freestyle is currently available on YouTube and has already begun generating positive feedback from listeners. Accompanied by an official freestyle video released on the same date, the project marks a new chapter for the versatile entertainer following a break from the music industry.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind the song, Kandie D’Jambajan shared that the creative process came naturally after hearing the instrumental.

“After taking a break from the industry, I told myself I was ready to start over with a brand-new track. When I first heard the WYFL beat, I immediately wrote the song in just one night and watched it all come together in the studio,” she explained.

The artiste added that filming the visuals was equally exciting, as she imagined herself at a lively party, dancing and having fun throughout the shoot. The positive reception following the release has made her even more enthusiastic about her return.

“So far, the feedback has been positive. People have been saying that my return to music with Go Down was surprisingly different because of my new flow and melody,” she said.

Known for her versatility, Kandie D’Jambajan believes her music appeals to audiences of all ages both locally and internationally. Drawing inspiration from her upbringing in church, she embraces conscious and reggae influences while also delivering energetic dancehall tracks.

“I grew up in church and I love gospel music, so one day I may release a gospel song for the Christians. At the same time, I want younger listeners to enjoy my uptempo dancehall vibes. Whether the music is clean or explicit depends on the mood I’m in when I’m writing,” she explained.

Looking ahead, the artiste has several exciting projects in the works. The first upcoming release is Bend Down, produced by Polydon UBMG Productions and featuring Kandie D’Jambajan alongside DreJ, the artiste known for the hit phrase, “She hate men but the men love she.”

She is also preparing for the release of Mileage, produced by Ojayonthebeat, while another collaboration with Supaa Supreme is currently being developed under Monstapiece Productions. Additional projects include Stick Together, produced by StubbanGadMuzik, and a forthcoming release on the Rattle Snake Riddim alongside Madd Vibes Pro and Chenko Production.

Beyond these announced tracks, Kandie D’Jambajan says there are many more surprises ahead.

“God has many surprises in store for me. Life is full of surprises, and once you’re passionate about something and continue pushing yourself, artists and producers will notice your dedication and become interested in working with you. I’m always open to collaborating with new artists and producers, and I can’t wait to see what’s next on my musical journey,” she shared.

The artiste also expressed gratitude toward the producers and collaborators who continue to support her career.

“It’s always a joy working with them because whenever they reach out to me, it shows that they see my full potential and trust that I can deliver a solid track regardless of the vibe,” she said.

With a renewed sense of purpose, a growing list of collaborations, and a positive response to her latest release, Kandie D’Jambajan is positioning herself for an exciting future in music. Fans can keep up with her journey by following her on Instagram at @Artiste_Kandie.
