Lylah K and Friyie Unite for New Summer Anthem “Only One”

Toronto artist Lylah K is stepping into the summer with Only One, an energetic collaboration featuring acclaimed rapper Friyie. Blending Afrobeat influences, Caribbean rhythms, and modern pop, the single delivers an uplifting soundtrack built around confidence, freedom, and self-expression. The record is available on all major streaming platforms beginning July 3, 2026.

Drawing inspiration from her Indo-Caribbean heritage and upbringing in Toronto’s Malvern community, Lylah K has developed a sound that bridges cultures while embracing a contemporary global audience. Writing songs from a young age, she has become known for music that combines infectious melodies with empowering messages and vibrant energy.

Only One marks Lylah’s first collaboration with Friyie, one of Toronto’s most recognizable hip-hop artists. Their contrasting yet complementary styles create a record that moves effortlessly between laid-back confidence and dancefloor-ready momentum.

The song was recorded at Abstract Studios, with production, mixing, and mastering led by Derek “MEGA MAN” Kavanaugh and Ante O’Connor. The release is supported by a full promotional campaign, including an official music video produced through Abstract Productions, expanding the song’s visual identity across digital platforms.

At its heart, Only One celebrates individuality and growth, encouraging listeners to embrace who they are while enjoying the energy of the season. With its blend of Afrobeat, Caribbean influence, hip-hop, and pop, the single is positioned as a feel-good anthem for summer playlists.

Only One featuring Friyie is now available on all major streaming services.
