SKYBAD’S ‘EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS’ MAKES A MAJOR CHART IMPACT

EXCLUSIVE JAMWEEKLY MAGAZINE PRODUCER INTERVIEW
Billboard-recognized producer SkyBad is making a powerful statement with his latest body of work, Everybody Hates Chris, a 13-track album that debuted at No. 2 on the U.S. iTunes Reggae Albums chart and currently sits at No. 4.
Released on October 2, 2026, the project brings together an impressive lineup of dancehall and reggae heavyweights, including Beenie Man, Tommy Lee Sparta, Valiant, Malie Donn, Squash, Demarco, Byron Messia and more.
For SkyBad, however, Everybody Hates Chris represents much more than a collection of songs. It is the result of years of work, experiences and musical development, with some of the songs dating as far back as 2021.

Known for creating mainstream hits with dancehall star Squash, SkyBad has established himself as a producer capable of crafting records that connect with both the Jamaican dancehall audience and international listeners. His production style continues to evolve, and Everybody Hates Chris provides a broader look at his creative range.
The album seamlessly moves between dancehall, reggae and Afrobeats, while maintaining the energy and authenticity that have helped define SkyBad’s production career.

A PROJECT YEARS IN THE MAKING
Speaking about the album, SkyBad explained that returning to the scene motivated him to deliver a project featuring some of the biggest names in contemporary Caribbean music.
“Being missing from the scene for a while, just wanted to resurface with a project that had some heavy hitters,” he shared.
That vision is evident throughout the album. Rather than relying on one sound or formula, SkyBad uses the 13-track project to demonstrate his versatility while bringing different artists and musical styles together.
The album carries the powerful tagline “They Hate. God’s Glory.” a phrase that speaks to SkyBad’s personal journey, resilience and belief in his purpose.
MORE THAN MUSIC
For SkyBad, the album also represents growth. The years spent developing the songs allowed him to evolve as a producer while giving the project a sense of history and personal meaning.
He previously told Kaboom Magazine that he hopes listeners in the diaspora will connect with the project because of the amount of work and emotion that went into creating it.
“It’s an all-rounded projec. so I think there’s a song on it for everybody.”
That philosophy is central to Everybody Hates Chris. From established dancehall stars to younger voices making their mark, the album brings together different generations and sounds while allowing SkyBad’s production to remain the common thread.

FROM HITMAKER TO PROJECT ARCHITECT
SkyBad’s work with artists such as Squash has already helped establish his reputation as a producer behind major dancehall records. With Everybody Hates Chris, he takes another step forward by positioning himself not simply as a beatmaker, but as an architect of an entire musical project.
The strong debut on the U.S. iTunes Reggae Albums chart demonstrates the international appetite for the sound SkyBad has created, while the album’s current position at No. 4 shows that the project continues to attract attention.
With a heavyweight cast, multiple genres and years of creative work behind it, Everybody Hates Chris serves as both a statement of where SkyBad has been and a preview of where he intends to go next.
For this Billboard-recognized producer, the message is clear: the journey continues, the music speaks for itself, and the glory belongs to God.
SkyBad’s Everybody Hates Chris is available now on major digital streaming and music platforms.
