Top Producer of the Week: Bashy, Collect Di Bred Entertainment

Jamaican Dancehall producer, Alexandre Jones, more popularly known as Bashy, has been doing great things from out of his home parish of St Thomas. Though mainly behind-the-scenes, Bashy has had a hand in many productions that Dancehall listeners have come to love. He is this week’s JamWeekly Magazine Top Producer of the Week.

Working with the likes of Chronic Law, Nation Boss and Jahshii recently, Bashy has produced several hits including “Legend”, “Nuh Trust Dem” and “Gun Pon Belly”; “Pray For Me”; and “Born Soldier” respectively. He runs his own label called Collect Di Bred Entertainment and is always in the lab cooking up masterpieces. The latest being “When”, a single which was released on October 11, 2023.

Being an entire collaborative project, “When” features the artistry of Nation Boss and Geo Lyrical with production by Bashy alongside Rush Records. The track is available for purchase and streaming on all platforms with the official music video out on YouTube since October 13. It was directed by Crane Motion Media who portrayed beautiful views of a Jamaican coastline throughout the visuals.

The experience working with these artists have been great as “When” performs outstandingly. Appealing to not just his local market, Bashy makes music that targets Reggae and Dancehall lovers worldwide. With all feedback being positive thus far, his productions are on an international level in hopes of reaching a stage where everyone knows his name and his capabilities as a producer.
