GABRIELLA VALERIA: THE ACTRESS BUILDING A DISTINCTIVE CREATIVE IDENTITY THROUGH STORYTELLING, FASHION AND FILM

Los Angeles-based actress Gabriella Valeria is embracing the art of storytelling while carving out a creative path shaped by imagination, individuality, and a passion for complex characters. With a growing interest in film, literature, fashion, and digital storytelling, Valeria is focused on building a career that goes beyond the screen, allowing her to explore different forms of artistic expression while connecting with audiences around the world.
Born in Arizona and raised across different environments, including Minnesota and Los Angeles, Valeria brings a multicultural perspective to her creative journey. Of Latina and Irish heritage, she describes her background as an important part of her identity, influencing how she understands herself and the world around her.
Beyond acting, Valeria is an introspective individual fascinated by human behaviour, identity, ambition and the contradictions that make people unique. Her appreciation for old Hollywood films, literature and art continues to shape her imagination and the stories she hopes to tell.
“I think there’s a tendency to reduce people to what they do, but I’ve never felt that a career could fully define a person,” Valeria explained. “Acting is one of the ways I express myself, but I’m equally interested in writing, creating, and exploring the world around me.”
For Valeria, storytelling is more than a profession; it is a way of exploring the human experience and encouraging people to connect with emotions and perspectives beyond their own.
FROM IMAGINATION TO THE SCREEN
Valeria’s interest in acting developed from an early love of stories and the opportunity to experience different worlds through the lives of fictional characters. Literature played a significant role in nurturing her imagination, eventually leading her towards a career where she could explore those experiences through performance.
Rather than identifying one defining moment that inspired her to become an actress, Valeria describes her decision as a recurring feeling that continued to draw her back to storytelling.
She has since been learning to navigate the entertainment industry while developing her craft, understanding that building a sustainable acting career requires patience, preparation and resilience.
“One of the things I’ve come to understand is that pursuing acting requires you to develop two things at once: your craft and your ability to withstand uncertainty,” she shared.
Like many aspiring performers, she has had to confront rejection, unpredictable opportunities, and the challenge of measuring progress in a competitive industry. However, these experiences have helped her develop a more intentional approach to her career, prioritizing meaningful opportunities and long-term artistic growth over appearances of success.
Her acting credits include The Biggest Fan, in which she portrayed Nicole Morello. The experience reinforced her appreciation for filmmaking as a collaborative art form, where the contributions of multiple creatives come together to bring a story to life.
Valeria is now focused on expanding her body of work and pursuing roles that challenge her abilities, reveal different aspects of her range, and allow her to continue evolving as an artist.
INSPIRATION, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AND DREAM ROLES
Among the women who inspire Valeria are legendary Hollywood actress Elizabeth Taylor and celebrated singer Selena Quintanilla. She admires Taylor’s screen presence, glamour and complexity, while Quintanilla’s warmth, authenticity and distinctive personality resonate with her own appreciation for individuality.
From these influential women, Valeria has drawn the understanding that success does not require an artist to fit into a single mould.
“I admire artists who become recognizable without becoming interchangeable,” she said, expressing her desire to develop a distinctive identity while remaining open to transformation through the characters she portrays.
When selecting roles, Valeria is particularly drawn to complicated women whose motivations are not immediately obvious. She appreciates characters who experience conflicting emotions, make mistakes, and possess inner lives that differ from the images they present to the world.
Her dream roles include women in psychological dramas, dark character-driven independent films, and period pieces. These genres appeal to her because they offer opportunities to explore the complexities of human behaviour, relationships and the influence of society on personal identity.
Her approach to preparing for a role begins with curiosity and empathy. Rather than judging a character’s decisions, she seeks to understand the reasoning behind them, studying dialogue, actions, silences and the emotions that remain unspoken.
For Valeria, portraying a character convincingly means finding the humanity behind the behaviour, even when the character’s experiences or choices differ greatly from her own.

NAVIGATING THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY
As the entertainment industry continues to evolve, Valeria believes actresses face increasing pressure to establish a recognizable public image alongside their artistic careers.
Although social media offers performers valuable opportunities to connect directly with audiences, she recognizes that maintaining a public persona can become an additional responsibility for actors trying to establish themselves.
She is particularly concerned about the tendency to define women primarily through their appearance rather than their talent, depth, and versatility. For Latina actresses, she also believes meaningful representation remains important, with more opportunities needed for women to portray fully developed characters beyond restrictive stereotypes.
“I want to be appreciated for my visual identity, but I never want it to be the only thing people see,” Valeria explained. “I want the opportunity to surprise people, to take on challenging roles, and to demonstrate depth and range.”
She also recognizes the emotional demands of rejection and criticism, noting that an unsuccessful audition should not automatically be interpreted as a judgment of an actor’s potential.
For Valeria, resilience is not about becoming immune to disappointment but learning to move forward without allowing setbacks to define one’s self-worth.
FASHION, DIGITAL STORYTELLING AND PERSONAL BRANDING
Beyond acting, Valeria is developing a broader creative identity through fashion, writing and digital storytelling. Her personal brand reflects an appreciation for cinematic imagery, femininity, nostalgia, literature, art and the enduring influence of old Hollywood.
Through social media, she hopes to give audiences a deeper understanding of her creative interests and personality beyond individual roles or photographs.
“I think the most interesting personal brands are built around a genuine point of view,” she noted. “You recognize them because there is a consistent sensibility behind what they create, not because everything looks the same.”
Her approach is rooted in authenticity, allowing her visual identity to complement rather than replace her artistic work. She wants audiences who discover her online to become interested in the films she participates in, the stories she tells and the creative projects she hopes to develop.
Outside her professional commitments, Valeria enjoys reading, writing, watching films, exploring fashion and art, travelling and discovering unfamiliar environments. These interests provide opportunities for reflection and inspiration, helping her maintain a connection with the world beyond her ambitions.
LOOKING TOWARDS INTERNATIONAL SUCCESS
Over the next five years, Valeria hopes to establish herself as an actress with a distinctive body of work and greater opportunities to take on challenging roles. She also wants to collaborate with filmmakers she admires, reach audiences outside the United States and continue exploring the relationship between literature and cinema.
Producing, directing and other creative avenues may form part of her broader journey as she continues discovering the forms of storytelling that interest her most.
Among her major career aspirations are leading a film, participating in international film festivals and working across different countries and cultures. However, she believes genuine success extends beyond awards, recognition or visibility.
For Valeria, the ultimate achievement would be contributing to a story that resonates with someone thousands of miles away and makes that person feel understood.
She hopes to reach a stage where she can choose projects based on their artistic value and the contribution she wants to make as a performer. More importantly, she wants to create a career that evolves alongside her experiences, interests and changing perspectives.
EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH JAMWEEKLY MAGAZINE
Jamweekly Magazine caught up with Gabriella Valeria to discuss her acting journey, creative inspirations, industry challenges, and ambitions for the future.
OVERCOMING CHALLENGES AND EMBRACING UNCERTAINTY
One of the most challenging aspects of pursuing acting has been learning to live with uncertainty while continuing to take my ambitions seriously. There is a particular difficulty in wanting something deeply when you cannot control the timeline or guarantee the outcome.
I've learned that I cannot measure my entire future by what is or isn't happening in the present. I have to remain willing to work, adapt, and begin again whenever necessary. Sometimes, overcoming a challenge simply means deciding that fear and uncertainty will not dictate your decisions.
CURRENT PROJECTS AND FUTURE ASPIRATIONS
At the moment, I'm focused on continuing to build my career as an actress while developing a broader creative identity through fashion, writing, and digital storytelling.
I'm being intentional about the direction I want my career to take, and I'm excited about the possibilities ahead. I would rather allow the work to speak for itself as projects come together than announce something before it's ready.
MAINTAINING A BALANCE BETWEEN CAREER AND PERSONAL LIFE
I'm still learning how to find that balance. When you're ambitious, especially when you're building something for yourself, it can be difficult to separate your personal life from the thing you're trying to create.
Outside of work, I'm drawn to quieter activities that allow me to reconnect with myself. I love reading, writing, watching films, exploring fashion and art, and finding inspiration in places that feel different from my everyday surroundings.
I'm trying to remember that a life worth creating must also be a life worth living while you're creating it. I don't want to postpone every meaningful experience until I've reached some future version of success.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS?
In five years, I hope to have established myself as an actress with a distinctive body of work and opportunities to take on increasingly challenging roles. I'd love to be part of projects that allow me to grow artistically, work with filmmakers I admire, and reach audiences beyond the United States.
I also want to continue developing my writing and exploring the relationship between literature and cinema. More than anything, I want to keep growing into an artist with a clear point of view and the freedom to explore different kinds of characters and stories.
ADVICE TO ASPIRING ACTORS
I would encourage them to begin before they feel ready because I think many of us spend too much time waiting to become the person we imagine we need to be before we're allowed to pursue what we want.
Study the craft. Take classes, audition, create, meet people, and learn as much as you can about the industry. I'd also encourage them to develop an identity outside their ambitions. Read books, experience life, and become interested in things that have nothing to do with acting.
And please don't let someone else's timeline convince you that you're running out of time. Your journey may not resemble the one you imagined when you started, and that doesn't automatically mean you've taken the wrong path.
A MESSAGE TO FANS AND SUPPORTERS
I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to follow my journey, engage with my work or simply take an interest in what I'm creating. It means a great deal to know that people are willing to spend a little of their time with something I've put into the world.
If there's one thing I'd like people to take away from my journey, it's that you don't have to have your entire life figured out to begin building it. You can be uncertain and ambitious at the same time. You can be proud of where you are while still wanting something different for yourself.
I'd love for you to follow along as I continue exploring acting, fashion, film, writing and the many things that inspire me.
As Gabriella Valeria continues to pursue her ambitions in film and expand her creative interests, she remains committed to building a career defined by authenticity, artistic curiosity, and meaningful storytelling.
Her journey reflects the importance of embracing individuality, learning through uncertainty, and allowing personal growth to shape professional ambitions.
For Valeria, the goal is not simply to become a recognizable name but to build a body of work that connects with people, crosses cultural boundaries, and leaves a lasting impression.
