Toronto artist channels Caribbean rhythm, soca energy and baddie-pop confidence into a feel-good dance floor release, arriving on all major streaming platforms on August 21, 2026.

Toronto’s LYLA KAAY is ready to move. With “CONTROL,” the Toronto 

singer and songwriter delivers a high-energy, Caribbean-infused party 

anthem built around movement, confidence, flirtation and the freedom to 

simply let loose.

Rooted in her Indo-Caribbean heritage and shaped by Toronto’s Malvern 

community, KAAY blends Caribbean influence, soca-inspired rhythms, 

Afrobeats and pop into a sound she describes as Baddie Pop.

“CONTROL” captures the chemistry of a night out: getting dressed up with 

your girls, stepping into the room with confidence, catching someone’s 

attention and letting the rhythm take over. Playful, flirtatious and

lyrics bring a cheeky, sensual energy to the track while keeping the focus

Adding to the party atmosphere, DJ Snoopy makes a special appearance on 

the track, opening the song with a high-energy introduction that 

immediately sets the tone before returning with a short hype section at the 

bridge. His presence adds that DJ energy and helps launch the song into its 

final, explosive chorus.
