Brazilian Trap singer, rapper, songwriter, and music producer Tuzão, born Artur Lima Machado in São Paulo, Brazil, has officially gotten his feet wet in the dancehall/reggae arena with this latest collaboration on US-based Anthony “ASG” Grant’s ‘Obra De Arte (Jiggle Yuh Body)’ track. Coproduced by Braga! and Guxxie Music, another Brazilian and Jamaican connection, alongside Grant’s ASG Records label, ‘Obra De Arte’ is set for release on Friday, October 30th.

Though labeled as an explicit Reggae track due to Tuzão’s hardcore lyrics, ‘Obra De Arte’ is actually clean for English and non-Portuguese listeners. It definitely has an international crossover appeal infused with Trap, Hip-Hop, and Latin elements. Grant adds a smooth Dancehall vibe, with Reggae harmonies and a melody that is catchy, making it easy to dance to.

Tuzão has never done a Reggae or Dancehall song before, only their sub-genre Reggaeton, but felt honoured to be able to get this chance to collaborate with Grant, finding the experience fulfilling, exciting and culturally enriching. So much so, that he intends to do more Reggae music in the future and hopefully collaborate with Grant again, as well as other Jamaican artists.

“As soon as I got Braga's invitation, I was down for it. I simply knew that we were about to have a wonderful experience,” explained Tuzão.

“I really liked the communication we established for this specific work. We were in touch the whole time, exchanging ideas. Professionally speaking, this has been a great experience,” he continued.

“I was thinking about a certain girl when I wrote those lines; I'll leave it at that.”

As for Grant, when the Brazilian producer Braga! first approached him on social media, he was all for the idea of doing the song and working with both Brazilians.

He stated, “I got a message from Braga! on IG saying he saw one of my songs pop up on his Spotify and he liked my sound. He asked if we could get on a call, and we did that the following day.”

“After we spoke, he sent me a folder of beats and in less than an hour, I told him I liked a specific beat from the folder, and I also have a song [for it]. He said, “Already?” I said, “Yes!” and he said, “That was quick!” And I laughed,” Grant further explained.

Grant continued, “I then asked if he knew any Brazilian artist who would be interested in a collab. He told me yes, so after I recorded the song, he sent it to Tuzão. Tuzão loved the song, and that’s how we got connected and collaborated.”

Grant’s producer Gussie, who is based in Jamaica, expressed the ease and flow going into this project.

“[It was] very smooth work, great vibes and energy. The riddim compliments the both artists’ vocals with the concept of the song definitely makes it a complete masterpiece. We all approached this project using clear communication between both cultures by being able to pitch ideas with each other,” said Gussie.

He executive produced the track under his Guxxie Music label with Grant’s ASG Records, while Braga! served as the composer and mixing engineer. ‘Obra De Arte (Jiggle Yuh Body)’ will be distributed by OneRPM and promoted by Grant’s publicist Lesley Hayles.

Guxxie Music has also previously released a single with Anthony “ASG” Grant called ‘Hustle’ on Friday, October 23rd, a week prior. According to both the artist and producer, ‘Hustle’ is about hardworking people who are struggling but still make sacrifices and refuse to give up.

Both songs are available for purchase and pre-order now.
