KATTIMONI BRINGS GLOBAL SOUL TO DANCEHALL WITH NEW SINGLE “NICE OVER HERE”

The Australia-born, Barbados-based artiste teams up with reggae legend Echo Minott for a vibrant new release ahead of an exciting run of international music projects.
Internationally influenced artiste Kattimoni is embracing a fresh chapter in her musical journey with the release of her latest single, “Nice Over Here,” released on August 28, 2026. Produced by Napem Records in Jamaica alongside veteran reggae artiste Echo Minott, the track blends dancehall rhythms with Kattimoni’s soulful vocals, playful energy, and distinctive artistic identity.
Distributed through Evidence Music, “Nice Over Here” is available on iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music and other major digital streaming platforms. The single introduces listeners to a vibrant, sensual and flirtatious sound that celebrates femininity, confidence and enjoying life.
Speaking about the inspiration and direction behind the release, Kattimoni expressed her excitement about exploring dancehall while incorporating her own soulful style.
“I really love the direction of ‘Nice Over Here.’ It’s sensual, playful, and full of island flavours. I’m enjoying exploring dancehall riddims while bringing my own soulful voice and style to the track,” she shared.
According to Kattimoni, the song encourages listeners to feel good about themselves, embrace their femininity and enjoy life. She also views the single as an important step in her ongoing exploration of different musical genres, explaining that she has never wanted to be confined to one particular sound.
The response to the single has already provided encouraging moments for the artiste. Kattimoni revealed that people have recognised her in the street and spontaneously started singing the song to her, particularly its catchy hook.
“I’ve had a lot of people recognise me in the street and just start singing the song to me, which I think is so sweet!” she explained, adding that listeners often tell her the hook stays in their heads.
While the team continues working to introduce the song to a wider audience, these personal encounters have reinforced her love for creating music and connecting with listeners.
A Meaningful Creative Connection With Echo Minott
Kattimoni’s collaboration with Echo Minott extends beyond the recording studio. The veteran reggae artist has become an important mentor and source of inspiration throughout her musical development.
She recalled first meeting Echo Minott in Australia while he was touring. During that encounter, he spontaneously invited her onstage to jam with him, creating the foundation for a connection that would eventually lead to touring together in Europe and recording music in Jamaica.
“Working with Echo Minott has been a real honour. He’s a living legend, a true veteran of reggae music and a creative genius. He’s become like an uncle and mentor to me, and I give thanks for the opportunity to learn from him and create music together,” Kattimoni stated.
She further expressed gratitude for the knowledge and experience he has shared with her, noting that he has championed her artistry while allowing her to bring her own sound and energy to their collaborations.
The partnership represents an opportunity for Kattimoni to learn from an established figure in Jamaican music while developing a sound that reflects her contemporary influences and international experiences.
“Global Soul” Opens a New Chapter
“Nice Over Here” is the first release from Kattimoni’s forthcoming EP, “Global Soul,” recently recorded in Kingston, Jamaica, with Echo Minott and Napem Records.
The project explores an eclectic blend of musical styles, including soul, reggae, dub, hip-hop, mento and dancehall. Its concept reflects Kattimoni’s international background and her desire to create music that connects people across cultures and generations.

Born in Australia and based in Barbados for several years, Kattimoni has drawn inspiration from the different cultures and musical environments that have shaped her life. Her sound incorporates elements of reggae, dancehall, soca, soul, pop and other influences, allowing her to experiment while maintaining her own artistic identity.
She describes her music as being rooted in love, unity, healing and empowerment.
“At its heart, my music is about love, unity, healing and empowerment. I believe music is medicine, and I want my songs to uplift people, bring them together and ultimately feel something in their hearts,” she explained.
This philosophy informs her wider musical vision, which aims to reach listeners from different backgrounds rather than target one specific audience.
Expanding Her Jamaican Collaborations
Beyond “Nice Over Here” and “Global Soul,” Kattimoni is developing several projects that further strengthen her connection with Jamaica’s music industry.
Among them is “Legend and Future,” an album she is working on with Echo Minott. The project aims to bring together Echo’s legacy in reggae music and Kattimoni’s contemporary, soulful sound, bridging generations through a combination of traditional Jamaican influences and fresh musical ideas.
She also plans to return to Jamaica in January to release “Made Up My Mind,” a project built around the traditional mento-inspired Old Em Joe riddim. The release is expected to feature several Jamaican artistes, including Spragga Benz, Echo Minott and Lady G.
Kattimoni also identified other artistes she is working with or collaborating with on various projects, including Don Mafia and Young Garvey, among others.
Her catalogue is also expanding beyond reggae and dancehall. She recently released “Sweet Fuh Days,” a soca collaboration with Corey Jordan of Starway Productions in Barbados. The release highlights another dimension of her musical versatility and reflects the influence of the Caribbean island she has called home for several years.
Music Without Borders
With “Nice Over Here” introducing the next phase of her career, Kattimoni is positioning herself as an artiste willing to experiment, embrace different cultures and explore multiple genres without losing sight of her creative identity.
Her forthcoming EP, planned album collaborations and Jamaican projects demonstrate a commitment to building connections across generations and musical traditions. The planned music video for “Nice Over Here,” filmed in Jamaica, is also on the way, although an official release date has not yet been announced.
As she continues expanding her reach, Kattimoni remains focused on creating music that makes people feel good, inspires confidence, and brings listeners together.
For the artiste, the journey is about more than releasing songs. It is about using music as a universal language, drawing from her experiences across continents and sharing a message that transcends cultural boundaries.
With “Nice Over Here” serving as the opening chapter of “Global Soul,” Kattimoni is inviting audiences to experience her evolving sound as she continues to build her place within the international reggae, dancehall, and Caribbean music landscape.
