Reggae artist Scepta has ‘livicated’ (Rastafarian for ‘dedicated’) his life to music, community and the betterment of humanity. As a Rastafarian, he gives all praises due to the Most High Jah Rastafari, and as a Pan-Africanist he lives by the words of Marcus Garvey: “One love. One heart. One destiny.”
Originally from Mandeville in Manchester, Jamaica, Scepta lived in various parts of the island before migrating to the US, settling in New York. Scepta has a 5-track EP that came out in 2020 and an album under his belt titled, “Appealing Thoughts”, which was released in 2011. He’s released a few singles throughout 2022 such as “Nah Sell Out”, “We Must Remember” and a collaboration called “Mind Control” which features female Reggae artist YaaA Universe. He’s kept busy in 2023 with the release of “Jah Rise” and “This World”, a remix which features Mykal Rose. Most recently, Scepta teamed up with Little Twitchon the song “Disinformation” to much fanfare.
Little Twitch, who also uses the moniker ‘Talking Twitch’, is a foundation Reggae artist from the 1980’s. “Spanish Fly”, “Respect Due” and “Devil Send You Come” are just a handful of his most popular early songs, all being productions from King Jammy’s. His most recent songs are “Memories: Tribute To Daddy URoy” in 2021 and “Proper Medz” in 2022.
The concept for “Disinformation” came from a discussion between Scepta and Little Twitch about the type of information that circulates on the internet, news programs and in the newspapers. There’s hardly any truth in what is being put out there, always a mixed bag of lies and misconception. Since the two artists had planned for years to do a song together they decided to create this latest release, “Disinformation”.

Produced by World Scann Family Production, mixed and mastered by Lmr Pro Productions and released on November 22, “Disinformation” is a song for everyone. It teaches about knowing and accepting the ‘truth’broadcasted by media houses and being able to separate fact from fiction. Scepta and Little Twitch are happy with what they’ve achieved with “Disinformation” and hope to reach the masses in all corners of the world using the righteous and encouraging words of their music.
An official music video for “Disinformation” will be coming out soon on YouTube.
